答：守安息日這一吩咐，特別指向家長和其他尊長，這是因為：
（1） 他們不僅有責任自己遵守，還有責任監督那些處在其負責範圍之內的人予以遵守；
（2） 而且，還因為他們經常有佔用他們的時間，攔阻他們守安息日的傾向（出20:10；書24:15；尼13:15－17；耶 17:20－22；出23:12）。
