177問：洗禮和聖餐有何不同之處？
答：洗禮和聖餐的不同之處在於:
（1） 洗禮只施行一次，是用水施洗，作為我們重生並與基督聯合的標記和印證（太3:11；多3:5；加3:27），並且對嬰兒來說也是如此（創17:7，9；徒2:38－39；林前7:14）；
（2） 聖餐則是經常施行的，是用餅與酒，來代表並顯明基督就是靈魂屬靈的滋養（林前11:23－26），堅固我們在祂裡面繼續成長（林前10:16），並且只有年齡和能力達到能夠自我省察的人才可領受(林前11:28－29)。

I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire. [1146] 1 Corinthians 11:28-29. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
