答：我們的中保之所以被稱為基督，是因為祂受聖靈無限量地膏抹（約3:34；詩45:7）；並分別出來，具備各樣的權柄和能力（約6:27；太28:18－20），為其教會（腓2:8－11）執行先知（徒3:21－22；路4:18，21）、祭司（來5:5－7；4:14－15）與 君王（詩2:6，太21:5；賽 9:6－7）的職分，祂處於升高和降卑中都是如此。
