167問：如何使我們的洗禮更加有效呢?

答：要使我們洗禮更加有效，是人人常常忽視的當盡的責任，是我們一生一世都當履行的事，特別是在受試探的時候，當我們出席他人洗禮的時候，更當如此（西2:11－12；羅6:4，6，11）。使我們的洗禮更加有效的方法就是:

（1）以感恩的心認真地思考洗禮的性質，基督設立洗禮的目的，洗禮所施與並印證的特權和恩惠，以及我們受洗時所發的莊重誓言（羅6:3－5）；

答：聖餐是新約的聖禮。我們在其中照耶穌基督的吩咐，分發並領受餅酒，祂的受死在其中顯明出來（路22:20）。

（1）那些按理領受的人吃喝祂的體與血，得屬靈的滋養，在恩典中長進（太26:26－28；林前11:23－26）；

（2）他們與基督的聯合和交通得以堅固（林前10:16）；

答：洗禮和聖餐的不同之處在於:

（1）洗禮只施行一次，是用水施洗，作為我們重生並與基督聯合的標記和印證（太3:11；多3:5；加3:27），並且對嬰兒來說也是如此（創17:7，9；徒2:38－39；林前7:14）；
